The spokesperson for the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), Mastung Zone, stated in a press release that the unjustified closure of the University of Balochistan’s Sub-Campus in Mastung has severely disrupted the educational process. Students and their parents are under immense mental stress regarding their future. The BSO strongly condemns the lack of transparency in the BEEF scholarship list, which has resulted in blatant injustice against deserving students. They demanded that the sub-campus be reopened immediately and that transparency in scholarship merit lists be ensured.
The spokesperson further said that throughout Balochistan, corrupt elements have been placed in administrative positions, including with the support of military forces with the aim of deliberately destroying the education system. This has created an atmosphere of fear and nepotism, with students being harassed on a daily basis to prevent them from participating in academic activities. The BSO Mastung Zone expressed deep concern over these anti-student policies and demanded the immediate restoration of the sub-campus and a complete revision of the scholarship list based on merit and transparency.
They warned that if the administration fails to act on these demands, the organization reserves the right to pursue all democratic means, including protests and legal action.
