In the Darchko area of Dasht, district Kech, unidentified assailants targeted Pakistani forces with an IED attack.
According to reports, the incident occurred while members of the bomb disposal squad were on foot conducting a route clearance operation. The explosion resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to two others.
Separately, in Nushki, two Pakistani soldiers who were critically injured in an earlier armed attack succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
