The hunger strike camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has completed 5796 days. On this occasion, Mama Qadeer Baloch expressed deep concern over the current situation in Balochistan. He stated that instead of improving, the conditions in Balochistan are deteriorating day by day. There are no signs of peace; rather, there is a looming threat of further military actions in Makuran, Jhalawan, and Bolan.
Mama Qadeer shared these thoughts while speaking to various delegations visiting the camp. On Sunday, senior leader of the National Party Naseer Ahmed Shahwani, BSO-Pajjar Chairman Dr. Tariq Baloch, and Hazara community representative Zamin Changezi visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of the forcibly disappeared persons.
Mama Qadeer said that Balochistan has always been politically active— even during times of dictatorship, Baloch political workers continued to raise their voices. But today, there is an undeclared ban on political, social, and cultural activities. Human rights activists and their families are being targeted. Dr. Sabiha Baloch and the father of Bebo were victims of extrajudicial arrest, which reflects state oppression.
He emphasized that political activities are not acts of defiance against the state, but reminders to authorities of their constitutional and moral responsibilities. However, state institutions are suppressing these activities and pushing the Baloch nation against the wall—an indication of the worst form of human rights violations. VBMP demands an immediate end to enforced disappearances and the safe recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons.
Mama Qadeer also voiced deep concern over the rising crime rate in Balochistan, especially the tragic killing of the innocent child, Saahil Gulab, in Pasni. He stated that the incident is a result of the growing audacity of criminals, and that despite public protests, the administration has failed to deliver justice even in a small town like Pasni.
In conclusion, he said the Baloch nation must organize its political and human rights struggle both within the homeland and abroad, as oppression and tyranny have now reached an unbearable level.
