Addressing the gathering at Chiltan, Nadia Baloch, the sister of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, the leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, said:
“I have presented the case of my sister, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, in front of Baloch nation. We have no hope from Pakistan’s judicial system or international institutions. In the past, we were given our father’s body, but neither Pakistan’s judicial system nor international institutions could provide us with justice.”
She further stated, “Dr. Mahrang is not just an individual, she is an ideology, a thought and a philosophy. Today, that ideology and thought have been imprisoned. However, we take pride in our nation and our people who have become the voice of Dr. Mahrang Baloch. Do not remain silent, raise your voice for Dr. Mahrang Baloch because she is the one who will guide this nation. She raised her voice against injustice and stood firm in the face of oppressors. Today, she needs your voice.”
Nadia Baloch emphasized, “Dr. Mahrang is not only our sister or our mother’s daughter, she is the guiding light for the entire nation. If she only cared for her family, we could have stopped her, but she sacrificed her comfortable life for her nation and became the voice of the entire people of Balochistan. Even today, the state is using various tactics to break her in prison, but she is not ready to bow down. She says, ‘My nation stands with me, and you should not bow before oppression.'”
She added, “I am grateful to all the people from Makuran to Sistan who have taken to the streets. I also thank Sardar Akhtar Mengal for standing with his people. We must unite because our survival lies in our unity.”
