Led by Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, the long march from Wadh to Quetta is ongoing. Officials have set up containers and various barriers along the route, while internet services remain disrupted throughout Balochistan, including Khuzdar.
Despite these barriers, participants of the long march successfully reached Khuzdar, where Sardar Akhtar Mengal and other leaders addressed the gathering.
Mengal stated that the purpose of their movement is no secret. “The state, its officials, institutions, ministers, and so-called governments once began abducting our youth. I raised my voice, knocked on the doors of many parties, urging unity to stop this injustice, warning that one day, their hands would reach the scarves of our women.”
He continued, “Our youth are not safe, and the Turbans of our elders were thrown to the ground on these very roads, yet we remained silent. Today, Mahrang and Sami Deen Muhammad are not just individuals; they are the dignity of Balochistan. Their struggle is not just of one region but of the entire Baloch nation.”
Criticizing the government, Mengal said, “They claim to be eliminating terrorism by arresting women and children. If you want to fight, go to the mountains, our young men are there, waiting to respond to you. But you don’t have the courage to face them because your wives won’t let you go, and your pants get wet in fear.”
He added, “You only show your strength against women and children. The youth of Balochistan are ready to answer you.”
Mengal condemned the suppression of peaceful protests, stating, “We are not even allowed to mourn our martyrs. Our honor is being torn apart, so what purpose does your government serve us?”
