State-Backed Death Squad Member Mir Ayub Alam Mullahzai Killed, Weapons Confiscated: BLF

The spokesperson for the Balochistan Liberation Fron, Major Gwahram Baloch, claimed in a statement released to the media that on February 23, 2025, BLF fighters carried out an operation based on confidential intelligence, eliminating a key member of a state-backed death squad, Mir Ayub Alam Mullahzai, in the Salam Baik area of Washuk district, Balochistan. His weapons were also seized during the attack.

The spokesperson clarified that Ayub Mullahzai had been on state payroll for several years and was involved in anti-Baloch activities, including the abduction and enforced disappearance of patriotic Baloch individuals. For a long time, he worked alongside another key death squad member, Shahid Mullahzai, playing a central role in planning and executing state-sponsored operations against the Baloch people. He led armed death squad operations in the region and was known for blackmailing and harassing respected community members to support actions against Baloch fighters.

Following a dispute between Shahid Mullahzai and Ayub Mullahzai, state institutions assigned Ayub Mullahzai the task of forming his own armed group to counter the Baloch resistance. Under his leadership, this group was expanding its network in Khuzdar, Washuk, and surrounding areas.

BLF’s intelligence wing had been closely monitoring these activities. Before the operation, it was ensured that no innocent civilians, including women and children, were harmed in the attack.

The Balochistan Liberation Front urges the Baloch people not to fall prey to individuals like Ayub Mullahzai. Instead, they should assist freedom fighters in identifying such elements and fulfill their national responsibility by eliminating traitors, drug dealers, thieves, and land mafias from Baloch society.
