The relatives of Mehmood Ali Longo s/o Muhammad Usman, who has been forcibly abducted from Nimroz province of Afghanistan since June 18, 2024, family said in a press conference at the VBMP protest camp that Mahmood Longo had been living as a refugee in Nimroz province of Afghanistan for a year.
They said “He has been arrested and brought to Pakistan by the Pakistani secret agencies with the support of the government of Afghanistan and now he is in the custody of the Pakistani intelligence agencies.
They said, “We appeal to the United Nations, Amnesty International, Red Cross and human rights organizations through the media to present him in court under international law. If he is wanted by the government of Pakistan, He should be prosecuted according to the law, if he is found guilty, then he should be punished according to the law of the state, and if he is innocent, then he should be released.
It was said in the press conference that many Baloch refugees have been missing from Afghanistan before and they were later handed over to the government of Pakistan, but the state agencies of the government of Pakistan have kept them forcibly missing. The government has handed over Mahmood Ali Longo to the government of Pakistan.
They further said in the press conference that our family has decided that we will peacefully march from the Quetta Press Club to the Afghan Consulate on August 29 regarding the forced disappearance of Muhammad Ali Longo from Afghanistan and the Afghan Consulate.
We will submit a memorandum that to inform us about Mehmood Ali Longo and we will wait for a week for the reply of the memorandum, if we do not get any response from the Afghan Consulate, then our family members will peacefully sit in protest under constitutional manner in front of the Afghan Consulate
