The army is afraid of the peaceful struggle of the Baloch people.
The spokesperson of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stated that the Pakistani army’s press conference against the BYC is clear evidence that the army fears the strength and peaceful struggle of the Baloch people. The state’s military holding a press conference against a political and human rights movement is a confession that the state military is directly involved in the Baloch genocide and human rights violations. From the beginning, our stance has been that the state military and intelligence agencies are directly committing the Baloch genocide and are involved in severe human rights violations in Balochistan.
Today, as thousands of people have taken to the streets against the Baloch genocide and human rights violations, demanding an end to the atrocities, the state, instead of halting these violations and ending the genocide, holds a military press conference against the peaceful political movement. This supports our stance about the state military and is a confession of guilt.
We call the state army to establish an investigative committee through any impartial third party or human rights organization to neutrally investigate the allegations against the Baloch Yakjehti Committee by the state military. If any of your allegations are proven, we will present ourselves in any court in Pakistan or the world. But if the allegations are not proven, the Pakistani army should admit the Baloch genocide and present itself for punishment.
We believe that the state military’s press conference against a public political movement supports the stance of all oppressed nations’ movements in this region, including the BYC, that democracy, constitution, and law do not exist in Pakistan. Instead, the worst dictatorship and fascism have been established under military rule since the beginning. It has been the practice of the Pakistani army to silence and suppress any genuine political movement in this region by labeling it as foreign agents, externally funded, and traitors. But the army fails to understand that this is not 1970, when it could deceive the public and the international world with false propaganda and lies.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s movement against the Baloch genocide is purely a peaceful public political movement that has garnered full public support, strength, and power across Balochistan. We believe the state is deliberately not accepting BYC’s public strength, power, and peaceful struggle. Therefore, on the one hand, there is an attempt to crush this public struggle using full force, and on the other hand, there is an effort to create a false narrative through military press conferences. This also proves that the state of Pakistan has never tolerated peaceful political struggle in Balochistan. Instead, for the past seventy years, it has ruled by force and continues to maintain its dominance through power and violence. Because through public political struggle, the worst conditions, coercion, military rule, and Baloch genocide in Balochistan will be exposed to the world.
We want to make it clear to the state and its military that the BYC will neither back down from its public struggle due to your false press conferences nor succumb to any pressure. We will further organize and intensify our struggle against the Baloch genocide and will end the Baloch genocide on Baloch soil through the power of the people. Being an external proxy or externally funded is not part of our political traditions.
Our struggle is based on principles and ideology and will remain so, and our strength lies solely in the Baloch people. Meanwhile, it is known worldwide that being externally funded and an external proxy is part of your traditions.
