° BNM Drafts Detailed Reports to Heads of State, United Nations, and Human Rights Organizations
The central spokesman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) has expressed gratitude to John McDonnell, Member of Parliament of the British Labour Party, for addressing serious human rights violations in Balochistan in the British Parliament. McDonnell raised issues such as forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and restrictions on expression and peaceful gatherings by the Pakistani army. A motion has been tabled to discuss these violations, demanding an end to enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and restrictions on expression and peaceful assembly by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan.
The spokesman stated that BNM has written to various members of the British Parliament, urging them to support the motion tabled by John McDonnell so that the issue could be debated in the British Parliament. The letters call for attention to the serious human rights violations in Balochistan.
The spokesman highlighted that the Baloch National Movement has been in contact with members of various countries, especially the British Parliament, for many years. They have repeatedly requested these members to raise the issue of serious human rights violations committed by the Pakistan Army in Balochistan in the British Parliament and ask the British government to play a role in stopping the enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of political activists, intellectuals, and journalists in Balochistan.
The spokesman also mentioned that the party is urgently drafting a detailed report for various heads of state, the United Nations, and international human rights organizations regarding the recent events in Balochistan and the latest wave of genocide.
This report will raise awareness of the ongoing human rights abuses in Balochistan and demand accountability from Pakistan for these serious violations.
Furthermore, the party’s foreign department plans to submit a petition to the British Prime Minister, requesting increased political and diplomatic pressure on Pakistan to stop human rights violations in Balochistan. The spokesman concluded by noting that BNM has been in contact with various organizations associated with the United Nations for many years. In September of this year, special representatives of the United Nations human rights subsidiary organizations have agreed to meet with BNM representatives. In these meetings, the party will brief the special representatives on the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan, aiming to raise the issue of Balochistan in the United Nations.
