NOKKUNDI, BALOCHSITAN: Attack on FC personnel heading on leave leaves one dead, 12 injured

Armed men attacked a convoy of Pakistani security forces (Frontier Corps) in Nokkundi, in Balochistan’s Chagai district, leaving one FC soldier dead and 12 people seriously injured, including seven personnel.

According to sources, the incident occurred near Shakirullah Hotel in Nokkundi at around 2:30 p.m., as a convoy of FC personnel heading out on leave was passing through.

The attackers suddenly surrounded the convoy and opened fire.

The slain soldier has been identified as Naik/NCS Mali Salam. Seven FC personnel and five other people were wounded and have been taken to the nearest medical facility for treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
