
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: One Killed, One Injured in Noshki Shooting; Bullet-Riddled Body Found in Kech
Two separate incidents were reported in Balochistan, where a man was shot dead and another wounded in Nushki, while the bullet-riddled body of a man was recovered in Kech.
In Noshki, armed men opened fire near the Qadirabad Bypass, killing one man and injuring another. The deceased was identified as Shah Khalid, a resident of Qazi Abad. The injured man was named as Abdul Rauf Barech.
According to local sources, unidentified gunmen targeted the two men at the bypass. The sources said Shah Khalid was affiliated with a government-backed armed group known in local circles as a “death squad”. The motive behind the attack has not yet emerged, and no one has claimed responsibility.
In a separate incident in Kech, the body of a man was found in the Dandar Machi Sol area of Dasht Khadan. He was identified as Khalid, son of Pir Muhammad, a resident of Kapkapar in Dasht.
Police recovered the body after being alerted by local residents and moved it to Teaching Hospital Turbat. During the examination, bullet wounds were found on the chest and back of the deceased.
Local sources said Khalid, son of Pir Muhammad, had been abducted by unidentified armed men from the area about two weeks earlier. Further details of the incident have yet to emerge.
