Residents block highway in Surab after reported airstrike damages mosque, homes

SURAB, BALOCHISTAN: Local residents blocked a main highway in Surab in protest after a reported Pakistan Army airstrike in the Neghar area damaged homes and a mosque, according to local source. No casualties have been reported so far.

The reported bombing took place in Neghar, Surab and damaged a number of houses as well as a mosque, residents said. There have been no reports of deaths or injuries.

Residents responded by shutting down the main highway in protest against the incident.

Earlier strike in Surab

The incident comes weeks after a reported Pakistan Army airstrike in Surab on Sept. 12, 2026, which killed six civilians, including a woman and a 2-year-old child. Nine others were injured, most of them young children.

Pakistani authorities have not commented on the reported airstrikes.
