KHARAN, BALOCHISTAN: Armed Men Attack Police and CTD Stations, Seize City Police Station, Set Records Ablaze
According to the source, a large number of armed men entered Kharan city last night, with reports indicating that the City Police Station was seized, while the sound of heavy gunfire was heard from various parts of the city.
According to sources, while taking control of the police station, the armed men detained the personnel on duty, set fire to different parts of the station along with its records, and seized weapons found there.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. Baloch armed groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), remain active in the Kharan area and most similar attacks on police and security installations in the region have previously been claimed by these groups.
