PARIS; Six Months Since My Father and My Two Uncles Were Forcibly Disappeared by the Rogue State of Pakistan: Says Dr. Naseem Baloch
Baloch National Movement (BNM) Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch said Wednesday marks six months since his father and two uncles were forcibly disappeared, in a statement he shared on social media platform X.
“Today marks six months since my father and my two uncles were forcibly disappeared by the rogue state of Pakistan,” Dr. Baloch wrote. He said they were abducted in the early hours of February 2 and that no information about their whereabouts has emerged in the six months since.
Dr. Baloch said their case reflects the experience of thousands of Baloch families whose loved ones have vanished into what he described as Pakistan’s network of secret detention and torture centers. He said these enforced disappearances are not isolated incidents but part of what he called a systematic campaign of genocide carried out under a media blackout.
He called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to act to end enforced disappearances, ensure accountability, and help protect the people of Balochistan.
