QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Major Attack by Armed Men on Pakistani Army, 13 Personnel Killed, Posts Set Ablaze

A serious incident occurred yesterday evening in the Wali Tangi (Zarghoon Ghar) and Spin Karez areas near Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, where a large group of armed men simultaneously attacked two Pakistani army posts.

Authorities, confirming the major attack, have so far released the identities of four dead personnel: Naib Subedar Awal Khan, Naik Noor Bakhsh, Sepoy Sami Ullah and Sepoy Rafiq, while three personnel are reported missing.

According to reports, the operation left a total of more than 13 security forces personnel dead and several wounded.

Sources say heavy gunfire and explosions continued in the area for an extended period during the attack.

After gaining full control of both posts, the armed men reportedly seized all weapons, ammunition, and military equipment present, and subsequently set the posts on fire.
