Holding Quran, Mother Pleads for Son’s Release in Khuzdar Protest

KHUZDAR, Balochistan: An elderly mother stood at the center of a highway sit-in on Thursday, holding a Quran in her hands as she appealed for the release of her son, one of two men reported missing from the area near Jhalawan Complex, Khuzdar.

Relatives of the missing men, joined by women, children, and elderly family members, blocked the main highway in protest, vowing that the demonstration would not end until the two men are not released.

The mother’s appeal, made publicly amid the crowd of protesters, became one of the most visible moments of the demonstration, reflecting the emotional weight carried by families of the missing across Balochistan.

Protesters called on authorities to take immediate notice of the case and to initiate practical steps toward locating and releasing the missing men. They said they would maintain the sit-in until their demands are met.

No official statement has been issued regarding the whereabouts or status of the two missing men.
