
ORMARA, BALOCHISTAN: A man was killed after a bomb planted on his motorcycle exploded outside a guesthouse in Ormara, Balochistan.
According to source, the victim, identified as Raja, son of Charshambe, was a resident of Makoola, an area in Tehsil Pasni. According to Ormara SHO Bashir Ahmad, the man had arrived the previous night at the guesthouse of prominent religious figure Syed Maheem Jan and stayed overnight.
When he attempted to start his motorcycle at dawn to depart, an improvised explosive device (IED) fitted to the vehicle detonated, killing him instantly.
Police and Pakistan Navy personnel rushed to the scene shortly after the blast, cordoning off the area and launching an investigation. Ormara is home to a major Pakistan Navy base, adding strategic significance to the incident.
No group has claimed responsibility so far, and authorities have not disclosed a motive.
