Seven Trucks Torched, Forces Attacked in Panjgur’s Chedgi Route Assault

PANJGUR, BALOCHISTAN: Armed men attacked trailer trucks on the Panjgur-Chedgi route, with security forces also coming under fire during the assault.

According to local sources, seven trailer trucks were destroyed after being fired upon and set ablaze during the attack. An exchange of gunfire also took place between the assailants and security forces, though no information on casualties or damages has been confirmed so far.

The Panjgur-Chedgi route, like several other highways across Balochistan, has continuously faced attacks targeting vehicles transporting minerals and other heavy cargo. Such routes have repeatedly come under assault from Baloch separatist groups, who have frequently targeted supply trucks and security convoys as part of their ongoing campaign against what they describe as the exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources and the presence of security forces in Balochistan.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for this specific attack.
