Pakistani Forces Come Under Attack in Mastung, Quetta, Kech and Kharan; Casualties Reported

BALOCHISTAN; Pakistani security forces came under a series of attacks across four districts of Balochistan, with incidents reported in Kech, Mastung, Quetta, and Kharan, sources.

According to sources, a Pakistani forces camp was attacked by armed individuals at the Soro location in the Mand area of Kech district. Regional sources indicate that security forces sustained casualties in the attack.

In another attack, Intense clashes erupted between Pakistani security forces and Baloch Freedom Fighters in the Kanak and Panjpai areas of Mastung. Security forces sustained casualties in both explosive attacks and armed engagements. The situation in the area remains tense.

In Quetta, a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) struck a Pakistani forces convoy in the Panjpai area of Quetta early this morning. One forces vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast and personnel casualties were sustained. Fierce clashes were also reported at multiple surrounding locations.

In Kharan, a Pakistani forces vehicle was targeted by an explosive device in the Gurk area of Kharan district as it traveled along the road. Casualty figures and extent of damage have not been confirmed at this stage.

No group has claimed responsibility for any of the four incidents. Pakistani authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the attacks.
