
QUETTA , BALOCHISTAN: An elderly man was shot and killed by Pakistani security forces in Kech while two young men were reported forcibly disappeared by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in separate incidents in Quetta and Dera Bugti.
In the Dasht Darchkoh area of Kech district, Pakistani forces opened fire killing an elderly resident identified as Sher Dil, son of Washdil, of Darchkoh, on the spot.
Locals noted that similar incidents have occurred previously in Dasht and surrounding areas. No official statement has been issued by Pakistani authorities regarding the circumstances of the shooting.
In Bugti Colony Bazaar of Sui tehsil, Dera Bugti district, CTD personnel detained a young man identified as Razaq, son of Shah Mir Bugti, before transferring him to an undisclosed location. His family confirmed his arrest but said no information regarding his whereabouts has been provided since he was forcibly disappeared.
In Killi Habib Feizabad, Sariab Road, Quetta, CTD personnel raided a home at approximately 3:00 AM on May 6, 2026, detaining a 22-year-old student identified as Irfanullah, son of Abdul Jabbar, who has since been forcibly disappeared. His family says no information about his condition or location has been provided since he was taken.
Pakistani military and CTD authorities have not issued any official statement regarding any of the three incidents. All cases remain unresolved.
