Two Killed in Separate Incidents; Body Found in Panjgur, Gunman Strike in Quetta

QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: In Quetta, unidentified gunmen opened fire near Shahwani Stadium on Sariab Road, killing a man identified as Shahjahan Kurd.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The attackers fled immediately following the shooting and no arrests have been made. No group has claimed responsibility for the killing.

Law enforcement personnel reached the site and shifted the body to a local hospital for postmortem examination. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Quetta police have launched an initial investigation but have not released any official statement regarding suspects or the circumstances leading to the attack.

In a separate incident, a body was recovered from the Kalag Kor area of Paroom in Panjgur district.

According to source, the deceased was identified as Mohsin, 21, son of Muslim and a resident of Suleman Bazar, Paroom. He worked as a driver. He was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from Jeerak Cross Point, Paroom, Panjgur, on March 16, 2026, along with four others, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

Upon receiving information about the body’s discovery, relevant authorities reached the site and initiated necessary procedural action. The body has since been transferred to a local hospital for a postmortem examination.
