KHARAN, BALOCHISTAN: Baloch Freedom Fighters established a blockade on Sarawan Road in Kharan district on Thursday at 6;00pm, conducting searches for an extended period before seizing a vehicle linked to the Grogg Dam Project and detaining two individuals.
According to local sources, fighters stopped and searched several vehicles during the operation. A Vigo vehicle associated with the Grogg Dam Project was seized and its four occupants were initially taken into custody. Two non-local individuals were subsequently released, while the remaining two were taken away by the fighters, sources added.
Local sources noted that the Grogg Dam construction project is being carried out in partnership with the Pakistani military, which may explain why the vehicle was specifically targeted during the blockade.
Sarawan Road, where the blockade was established, is described as a busy and strategically significant route frequently used by Pakistani security forces and other state institutions, making it a recurring target for separatist activity in the area.
