PANJGUR: Armed men set up checkpoints on the Chedgi Central Highway late on Wednesday night, blocking the route for several hours and firing on the tires of trailers and other heavy vehicles.
According to source, the gunmen halted traffic on the key highway and systematically damaged large vehicles before dispersing. The blockade caused significant disruption to transport movement along the route.
This is not the first time the highway has been targeted. Armed groups have previously carried out similar acts of disruption on the road, which serves as an important link in the region.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces have not yet commented on the incident.
