QUETTA: The Baloch Women Forum(BWF) has strongly condemned the arrest of Fozia Baloch and the crackdown on the family of Dad Shah at the Karachi Press Club.
Fozia Baloch had arrived to hold a press conference concerning the safe recovery of her brother, Dad Shah Baloch, who Disappaered by security forces in Karachi.
The Baloch Women Forum said that, the detention of Fozia Baloch and family members while peacefully attempting to address the media represents a serious violation of fundamental rights.
The interference with the press engagement and the silencing of affected families raise grave concerns about freedom of expression and the right to peacefully seek accountability.
The forum called on the relevant authorities to immediately release all detained family members and uphold the fundamental rights of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
