QUETTA: the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) carried out a series of coordinated military operations targeting Pakistani security forces and infrastructure in the Turbat and Nushki districts.
According to Major Gwahram Baloch, the spokesperson for BLF, The operations began on the evening of April 9 at 6:00 PM near Turbat with a strategic blockade of the M-8 highway, a key route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Fighters established full control over the highway for several hours. In the initial phase, a BLF unit advanced from Shah Dad Hotel and successfully stormed the police checkpoint at Lodhi Jangjah, seizing it along with weapons without resistance. The fighters conducted thorough snap checks on the highway for two hours to monitor enemy movement and challenge state authority.
In the next phase, the BLF targeted the Pakistani army’s surveillance capabilities by destroying cameras, solar panels and other equipment on a hilltop behind Shah Dad Hotel Dasht. Additionally, a mobile tower between Lodhi Jangjah and Masha-Allah Hotel used for enemy monitoring was attacked and disabled.
After completing their objectives, the fighters lifted the blockade and withdrew. During their retreat, an army convoy of six vehicles attempted to intercept them but was ambushed by BLF fighters. The ensuing 30-minute clash resulted in multiple enemy casualties and the destruction of two vehicles, with a third heavily damaged. BLF fighters also shot down quadcopters deployed by the army for aerial surveillance.
On April 10 at 6:00 PM, BLF fighters blockaded the highway at Nushki Daak, maintaining control for two hours. During patrols, they detained a police motorcycle patrol team, confiscated a 9mm pistol and wireless set, but released the personnel on humanitarian grounds after issuing stern warnings.
On April 11, BLF fighters stormed and took control of a police checkpoint in Ahmad Wal Mahssaski, Nushki. The personnel at the checkpoint were disarmed, and weapons seized. The detained police were again released after warnings were issued.
Major Gwahram Baloch emphasized that the BLF is committed to continuing operations against military and economic targets in Balochistan, asserting their modern combat capabilities and determination to liberate the region.
“The enemy will find no installation secure in Balochistan. Our operations will persist with evolving tactics until complete liberation is achieved,” he stated.
