QUETTA: The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances continued for the 6,129th consecutive day outside the Quetta Press Club.
The camp is being led by Niaz Muhammad. During today’s protest, the family of a newly missing person, Muhammad Siddique Langov, participated and submitted his case to VBMP.
According to the family, he was taken into custody by security forces on the night of April 7 from Killi Ismail in Quetta and shifted to an undisclosed location. Since then, there has been no information regarding his whereabouts.
VBMP assured the family that the case would be forwarded to the relevant government commission and the provincial authorities, and that efforts would be made to raise the issue at all available forums for his safe recovery.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch called for the immediate release of Muhammad Siddique, or if any charges exist, that he be produced before a court of law to address the concerns of his family.
