Geneva, Switzerland: The Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh (Europe Chapter) organized a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, calling for the immediate recovery of forcibly disappeared persons from Sindh, Pakistan.

The demonstration was led by Coordinator Sarang Sindhi and Deputy Coordinator Saeed Sindhi. Protesters carried banners highlighting their demands and engaged with passersby to raise awareness about human rights violations in Sindh.

Addressing the gathering, the organizers stated that the human rights situation in Sindh has remained deeply concerning for the past 25–26 years. They claimed that citizens continue to live in fear, with more than 10,000 individuals reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance, including a significant number of political and human rights activists. According to them, hundreds of individuals remain missing to this day.

The speakers said that people are being taken from roads, public places, vehicles and even their homes without due legal process. Families, they said, are often left without any information about their loved ones for years. In some cases, the missing individuals are later found dead, bearing signs of torture.

The organizers specifically highlighted the cases of political activists, including Ayub Kandhro, Sohail Raza Bhatti, and Allah Wadhayo Mahar, who they said remain missing. They also criticized the judiciary, saying a lack of effective action in ensuring the recovery of missing persons.

Following the protest, the organizers submitted a memorandum through UN officials addressed to the United Nations Human Rights Council. The document outlined their concerns regarding ongoing human rights issues in Sindh and urged the United Nations to take immediate and concrete steps to ensure the safe recovery of all missing individuals.

The protest concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to continue raising their voices at international forums until justice is achieved for the affected families in Sindh.
