Quetta: The head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, has said that the current situation in Balochistan is extremely alarming and that Balochistan has effectively turned into a no-go area.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Akhtar Mengal said that media houses appear to be completely silent on the worsening situation. “I have never seen the situation this dangerous in my entire life,” he wrote. He also questioned the authorities, asking whether the Interior Minister could clarify where the station house officers (SHOs) are Right Now ?.
It is noteworthy that attacks under the ongoing Operation Herof 2, announced by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), have reportedly intensified across Balochistan. Reports from various districts indicate suicide attacks, armed clashes, and the seizure of government installations.
