In a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, said that BLA fighters targeted Pakistani army forces in two separate attacks in Panjgur and Zehri. According to the statement, the fighters carried out IED explosions and direct attacks, resulting in the deaths of 13 army personnel and injuries to more than seven others.
The spokesperson said that on Wednesday, BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani army vehicle in the Katagri area of Panjgur using a remote‑controlled IED. As a result of the blast, four army personnel were killed and two others were seriously injured, while the vehicle was badly damaged.
He further stated that on December 16, BLA fighters carried out a heavy attack on a convoy of Pakistani army vehicles at the Balbal area of Zehri in Khuzdar. After targeting one vehicle with a remote‑controlled IED, the fighters ambushed the convoy.
According to the statement, the attack took place while the Pakistani army was engaged in operations in Balbal and surrounding areas. In this attack, nine army personnel were killed and more than five were injured. The fighters also took control of Pakistani army vehicles along with a large quantity of ammunition and weapons.
