KARACHI: The family of Zahid Baloch, a young man forcibly disappeared from the Liyari Karachi, continues their protest camp outside the Karachi Press Club, demanding his immediate and safe recovery and an end to the practice of enforced disappearances.
Zahid Baloch was taken into custody by personnel of Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies on July 17, 2025, from Liyari and has been disappeared since. No information has been provided about his whereabouts, nor has he been produced in any court.
Among the protestors is Zahid’s father, Abdul Hameed, an elderly man in poor health. The family says his condition is so serious that he cannot sit for long periods, yet he attends the camp every day, holding on to hope for justice for his son.
The family and relatives of Zahid Baloch have appealed to human rights organizations, journalists, political and social activists and the public to raise their voices and stand with them to ensure the recovery of Zahid and all other forcibly disappeared persons.
