Multiple coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and alleged death squad operatives were reported across the Balochistan regions of Surab, Mastung, and Awaran, resulting in reports of casualties and damage.
According to local sources, armed assailants launched a major assault tonight on the main camp of the Frontier Corps (FC) in Surab. The attack involved heavy gunfire and explosions that reportedly continued for a considerable period. Following the assault, security forces attempted to encircle the attackers, leading to intense clashes between both sides. While unconfirmed, several FC personnel are believed to have been killed during the exchange.
In a separate incident in Kolwah’s Gishang area of Awaran, heavy fighting broke out between armed fighters and members of a local death squad. The firefight lasted for an extended period, with local reports suggesting that the death squad suffered casualties. Later, at dusk, a large number of death squad operatives were seen moving from the Awaran Bazaar toward the site of the clash—presumably to recover their dead and wounded comrades.
Meanwhile, in the Mastung district, near the Ab-e-Gul area, a convoy of Pakistani forces was attacked by armed men this evening. Initial reports indicate both human and material losses for the security forces. Eyewitnesses described the assault as intense, with the sound of modern heavy weapons echoing through the area.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks.
