The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks targeting Pakistani military and intelligence personnel across various regions of Balochistan on June 25.
In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that, based on intelligence gathered by BLF’s reconnaissance wing, their fighters carried out a bombing at the entrance of a covert Military Intelligence (MI) operational cell in Gwadar. The bomb, planted at the entry point of the so-called “sting house,” exploded around 10 PM as MI operatives were entering the facility. One MI officer was killed on the spot, while two others were seriously injured.
The spokesperson stated that the targeted intelligence network was previously overseen by a retired officer named Abbas, and is now reportedly led by his brother Yaqub. The network has been involved in covert operations and the establishment of concealed posts throughout Gwadar.
Earlier the same day, at around 4 PM, BLF fighters launched a direct assault on a Pakistani military checkpoint in the Malai Gazi area of Jhaoo. A sniper team first neutralized one soldier, followed by a half-hour-long attack using rocket launchers and heavy automatic weapons. Following the operation, BLF fighters safely withdrew. In retaliation, the Pakistani forces reportedly shelled civilian areas and opened indiscriminate fire.
Additionally, the BLF executed two simultaneous tactical raids in the Kech Shapuk and Sami areas. At 8 PM, fighters attacked a military checkpoint located at Koh Barg in Shapuk using rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and automatic weapons. A second operation targeted another checkpoint at Koh Kalat in Sami, where BLF fighters carried out a close-range assault.
Major Gwahram Baloch confirmed that these coordinated operations resulted in the killing of at least two Pakistani soldiers and injuries to three others. All BLF fighters reportedly returned safely to their bases using pre-planned exit routes.
The spokesperson concluded by reaffirming the BLF’s commitment to continue targeting Pakistani occupying forces and intelligence agencies until the complete liberation of Balochistan.
