
Two separate firing incidents were reported in Balochistan’s coastal city of Pasni and Turbat, the main city of Kech district, in which two Levies personnel were injured and one civilian was killed.
In Pasni’s Baburshor, Ward No. 1, unidentified armed men opened fire on two Levies personnel, Shabbir and Sagheer while they were sitting at a local shop. According to eyewitnesses, the assailants came on a motorcycle and fled after the attack. Both injured personnel were shifted to the Pak-Oman Hospital, where they are currently under treatment. The motive behind the attack is still unknown, and police and Levies officials have launched an investigation.
Meanwhile, in Turbat near Kor Pul, unidentified armed assailants shot and killed a man on the spot. The deceased was identified as Aqib Shikari. According to reports, he was on his way to the bazaar from his home when he was targeted. His dead body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem examination. The reasons behind his killing remain unknown.
