BLF Pays Tribute to Fighters Martyred in Koh Jandaar, Barkahan Clashes

Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has paid tribute to its fighters who were martyred during fierce clashes with Pakistani forces in the mountainous region of Koh Jandaar, Barkahan. In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch detailed the events of June 6 and honored the sacrifices of the organization’s members.

According to the BLF, a large contingent of the “Bugti Aman Force” a pro-government militia allegedly backed by Pakistani military and intelligence agencies under the command of the provincial puppet Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, launched an assault around 7 a.m. on a BLF patrol camp in Koh Jandaar, Rakhni. The BLF fighters quickly adopted defensive measures and engaged in a fierce three-hour firefight, successfully repelling the attackers and escaping safely. Two members of the militia were reportedly killed in the exchange.

The spokesperson noted that the confrontation did not end there. Pursuing BLF fighters, the enemy attempted to block their exit routes. A few kilometers away, BLF members encountered fresh reinforcements of the Pakistani army, triggering another intense battle that lasted for seven hours. Four BLF fighters were martyred in this prolonged encounter, while two Pakistani soldiers were also killed and several others injured.
