The central spokesperson of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO) has condemned the continued policy of enforced disappearances, calling it a clear indication of the growing threats faced by the oppressive colonial system in Balochistan.
In a statement, the spokesperson said that the colonial state continues to suppress national resistance through various means, revealing that it is not moving toward resolving the Baloch national issue but instead deepening the crisis. A clear example of this, the spokesperson noted, is the targeting of peaceful political activists such as BSO Mastung Zone spokesperson Aurangzaib Baloch, who has long been associated with democratic political activity. His enforced disappearance, the BSO stated, is a blatant reflection of state brutality.
The spokesperson further said that public movements born out of prolonged repression are a natural response to decades of state violence. Since its inception, Pakistan has acted as a tool of Western imperialism and has functioned as a security state. In light of this, the ruling establishment views the use of force as the only viable solution to manage crises. The daily recovery of mutilated bodies and the abduction of numerous political activists highlight the growing desperation of the state.
BSO strongly condemned the enforced disappearance of its comrade Orangzaib Baloch, who was abducted by security forces from his home in Killi Azizabad, Mastung, around 2 a.m. on June 1. The organization not only denounced the act but also demanded the immediate and safe recovery of Aurangzaib and all other forcibly disappeared individuals. The BSO warned that if Aurangzaib Baloch is not safely recovered, the organization reserves the right to pursue all democratic avenues of protest and resistance.
