Balochistan – May 19, 2025: Armed groups set up a blockade in Kharan district, seizing a Levies check post and launching an assault on a military camp in Kech district’s Balgatar area.
According to local sources, a large number of armed men established a blockade on the CPEC Road near Kharan, where they attacked a Levies check post. The militants took control of the post and confiscated weapons from the personnel stationed there. No Levies officials were harmed during the incident.
Separately, a military camp near Sayedabad in Balgatar, Kech, was attacked with heavy gunfire and explosions.
Pakistani forces responded with raids, searching homes and reportedly abusing some locals, though no arrests have been confirmed.
These incidents highlight the growing unrest and armed resistance in the region.
