Eight Baloch Youth Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces in Kech, Kalat, and Sibi

Balochistan – Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies have forcibly disappeared at least eight individuals in a series of incidents across the districts of Kech, Kalat, and Sibi, sparking fresh concerns over the ongoing campaign of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

In Kech district, two young men, Zareen Javed and Umar Iqbal, were abducted by personnel believed to be from Pakistani intelligence agencies in Turbat’s Dashti Bazaar. Eyewitnesses and family sources reported that the youths were inside a mobile phone shop when armed men in a white Surf vehicle stormed in and forcefully took them away.

The victims’ families immediately informed Turbat police, who later recovered the motorcycle used by the two youths. However, despite several hours passing, the police have not been able to trace the abductors or determine the whereabouts of the missing men.

In a separate incident in Kalat district, five individuals were detained during a military operation in the Grapp area and taken to an undisclosed location. Three of the detainees have been identified as Jamaluddin, Attaullah, and Latif, while the identities of the other two remain unknown.

Meanwhile, in Sibi, Sadiq Khan, son of Abdul Sattar Khajak, was reportedly picked up by security forces from his shop four days ago. Since then, his family has received no information about his location or condition.
