Quetta: Police Crackdown on Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s Protest Rally Leaves Three Dead, Dozens Injured

According to reports, Three protesters have been killed and dozens injured as police cracked down on a protest rally organized by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee in Quetta, demanding the recovery of forcibly disappeared persons.

According to eyewitnesses, the police initially launched a heavy baton charge and fired tear gas shells at the demonstrators, followed by live fire, resulting in multiple injuries. The wounded were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where doctors described some of their conditions as critical. Hospital officials have stated that there is an urgent need for blood donations.
