IED Attack on Pakistani Forces Vehicle in Bolan; UBA Claims Responsibility

BOLAN, BALOCHISTAN: A remote-controlled bomb targeted a vehicle of Pakistani security forces in the Kartag Siyah Pusht area of Bolan this morning, at around 7:30 a.m. The United Baloch Army (UBA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to the group’s statement, the vehicle was part of a three-vehicle army convoy that was on patrol with a bomb disposal squad when it was hit.

The group claimed one soldier was killed on the spot and several others were seriously wounded. There was no independent confirmation of these claims, and officials have not commented.

The group said it would continue such attacks “until the achievement of a free Balochistan.” The statement was issued by its spokesman, Mazar Baloch.
