QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The protest camp set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for the 6,382nd day in front of the Quetta Press Club. People from various walks of life visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the families of missing persons.

Today, Saira Baloch, sister of Asif Baloch and Rasheed Baloch, and the mother of Mahmood Ali Langov attended the camp and registered their protest for the safe recovery of their loved ones.

Saira Baloch said more than eight years have passed since her brothers Asif and Rasheed were forcibly disappeared, while others who were detained along with them were later released. She demanded the immediate recovery of Asif and Rasheed and said that if there is any allegation against them, they should be produced in court and given their legal rights.

Mahmood Ali Langov’s mother said two and a half years have passed since her son’s enforced disappearance. She appealed to the relevant institutions and the VBMP protest camp for justice and demanded Mahmood Langov’s recovery.

VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said it is the government’s constitutional responsibility to give the families of all forcibly disappeared persons, including Asif Baloch, Rasheed Baloch and Mahmood Ali Langov, information about their loved ones, and to take practical steps to free them from this long suffering.
