BLA releases video attacks on Pakistani forces across Balochistan

QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a video that it says documents a series of attacks carried out on Pakistani security forces in Balochistan between August 4 and September 16.

The footage, released by the group’s media wing, Hakkal, runs about eight minutes and 33 seconds. It purportedly shows BLA fighters using heavy weapons, including roadside bombs (IEDs), ambushes, and attacks on vehicles carrying supplies. In one sequence, a fighter appears to fire a heavy machine gun at a helicopter.

According to the video, the attacks took place in several areas:

  • Bencha: An IED strike on a vehicle of the Pakistani forces.
  • Hajika Surab: An attack on a vehicle.
  • Marjan: An IED attack and an ambush.
  • Sultan: An attack on a convoy.
  • Guru: An IED attack and an ambush, with an armoured vehicle coming under fire.
  • Dashtuk: An IED attack on a supply convoy for the security forces.
  • Badrang: An attack on forces providing security to a exploitative company.
