QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: BLF’s Women’s Unit KAAD and Qurban Unit Claim Attack on Pakistani Forces Camp in Mashkel, Say 18 Personnel Killed

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed that its newly formed women’s unit, the Karima Armed Assault Division (KAAD), and its vanguard Qurban Unit carried out a joint attack on an important Frontier Corps (FC) 58 Wing camp in Gorindar, Mashkel, on October 1, 2026. The group said 18 soldiers were killed and several others wounded.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, the BLF said its fighters “completely encircled” the camp from multiple directions and attacked it with rockets, grenade launchers and other heavy automatic weapons. It claimed some “panicked” soldiers abandoned their weapons and the camp and fled.

The group also claimed that its “protection squads” targeted a convoy sent as reinforcement, leaving several soldiers killed and wounded and forcing the convoy to retreat. It said the army later airlifted the bodies of its dead personnel to Panjgur by helicopter.

The BLF accused the army of concealing the number and identities of its casualties, saying this showed it was “fighting a lost war in Balochistan.”

The BLF said two of its fighters were killed in the attack. It named them as Sajid, alias Mehran, son of Khalid, a resident of Buleda, and Abdul Khaliq, alias Nothak, son of Sanjar, a resident of Paroom Panjgur. The group said their sacrifice “will be written in golden words in the history of Baloch national struggle.”

The statement said the central role of KAAD showed that women in the Baloch cause “are no longer limited to political or ideological roles” and have now come onto the front line. It said the division is named after Karima Baloch, which it called a symbol of the “resolve, steadfastness and spirit of resistance” of Baloch women.

The BLF described military camps in Balochistan as “primary centers” of the exploitation of Baloch national resources, what it called “Baloch genocide,” and the violation of the sanctity of homes. It called for the removal of all military bases, the withdrawal of the Pakistnai army and an independent and sovereign Balochistan, which it said was the “only guarantor” of Baloch national survival. It said its armed struggle would continue “with even greater strength” as long as a single soldier of Pakistan remains on Baloch soil and what it called domination over Baloch political and economic rights continues.

The group said the “blood of the martyrs will not go in vain” and that the war would be fought on all fronts with full force and a defensive strategy until an independent Balochistan is established. The BLF formally claimed responsibility for the attack.
