QUETTA: Two separate killings were reported in Balochistan, with the bodies of two unidentified men found in Surab and a woman allegedly axed to death in Jhal Magsi.
In Surab, the bodies of two men were recovered from the roadside at Mall Shahorai. Local sources said the two were shot dead. Police shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Surab for identification and said investigations were continuing.
Police have appealed to the public to contact the hospital if anyone recognizes the deceased.
In Jhal Magsi, a woman was killed with axes in Kotra, police said.
The victim, the wife of Mohram Khan Brohi and a mother of two, was attacked by her brother-in-law, Aamir Hussain, within the limits of Kotra police station. Police said the suspect fled after the attack.
Relatives and police reached the scene and moved the body to the DHQ Hospital in Gandawah. However, no doctors were available, so a postmortem could not be conducted. The family protested and blocked the Gandawah-Notal Road, suspending traffic.
It is noteworthy that bodies were also recovered earlier today in Khuzdar and Kech.
In Khuzdar, three bodies were recovered from the Feroz Abad area and moved to a hospital, sources said.
In a separate incident in Kech, the body of a man was found in the Dandar Machi Sol area of Dasht Khadan. He was identified as Khalid, son of Pir Muhammad, a resident of Kapkapar in Dasht.
Police recovered the body after being alerted by local residents and moved it to Teaching Hospital Turbat. During the examination, bullet wounds were found on the chest and back of the deceased.
