QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), has claimed that its Karima Armed Assault Division (KAAD) set up roadblocks and searched vehicles on the Quetta-Karachi highway in Kalat and Khuzdar districts, according to a statement issued by its spokesperson.
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said in the statement that KAAD fighters blocked the highway at Dasht Goran in Kalat on September 29, 2026 and searched vehicles moving along the road. He said the blockade ended at 5 p.m. and claimed that Pakistani security forces made no movement during that time.
The spokesperson said a similar action took place on September 26, 2026, at Lakhorian in Khuzdar, where fighters set up a roadblock on the same highway between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and checked vehicles.
According to the statement, KAAD fighters remained positioned near the highway until 8 p.m. on September 26 after the roadblock was lifted and claimed to have kept the road under their control during that period.
The spokesperson claimed that security personnel did not appear or engage the fighters despite being informed of their presence. The group said its fighters then left for what it described as safe hideouts.
The BLF claimed responsibility for both roadblocks.
