KACHHI, BALOCHISTAN: Death Squad Camp Destroyed in Kachhi, Member Arrested, Says Baloch Republican Guard.
The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a pro-government militia (“death squad”) camp in Balochistan’s Kachhi district, saying its fighters destroyed the facility and arrested one member.
In a statement issued to the media, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out a “major attack” on a camp belonging to Mithal Mughairi in the Mithal Abad area of Kachhi district.
According to the spokesperson, the camp was operating under the patronage of Provincial Minister Asim Kurd Gello. He said that members of the “death squad” fled the site during the attack, while BRG fighters detained one of its members.
Dostain Baloch further claimed that the camp was completely destroyed after being set on fire by the fighters.
The BRG spokesperson said the group accepts responsibility for the attack and stated that such operations would continue until the “complete independence of Balochistan”.
