QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Security arrangements across Quetta have been further tightened amid possible security concerns.
Heavy contingents of the Frontier Corps (FC) and police have been deployed in various parts of the city, including streets, major highways, and sensitive locations, while strict checkpoints and barriers have been established at multiple points.
According to sources, security forces are conducting an ongoing series of search operations in different areas of the city, during which different locations are being checked and in some areas, house-to-house searches are also being carried out.
Monitoring and checking at the city’s entry and exit points have also been intensified, with citizens facing checks due to the additional deployment of security personnel on major highways and various streets.
It may be recalled that the Balochistan government had earlier issued a notification asking residents not to leave their homes from August 11 to August 14.
