Gwadar: Several Baloch Youths Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces

GWADAR, BALOCHISTAN: Reports have emerged of the enforced disappearance of several young Baloch men from the Jiwani tehsil of Gwadar, a coastal area of Balochistan, reportedly at the hands of Pakistani security forces.

According to sources, the group was returning from a picnic at Daran when they were reportedly stopped by Pakistani forces near Panwan in Jiwani, taken into custody, and moved to an undisclosed location.

Those reported missing have been identified as Rauf son of Abdul Hameed, Naseer Shay son of Shafi Muhammad, Faisal son of Haji Mukhtar, Muhammad Jan son of Ismail Bapari, and Anas son of Ishaq, all residents of Jiwani along with a sixth individual, identified as Amir Bakhsh son of Suleman, said to be a resident of Roobar.

Sources say this brings the total number of people forcibly detained and disappeared from the Panwan area over the past two days to more than two dozen.
