KACHHI, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), claimed responsibility on Sunday for setting up a checkpoint in the Nushman area of Kachhi, Balochistan, where its fighters stopped and searched vehicles.
According to a statement issued by BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch, the group intercepted a rickshaw travelling from Sibi to Sanni that was reportedly carrying rations intended for a Pakistani forces’ cantonment. The statement claims the fighters confiscated the rations and set the vehicle on fire while releasing the drivers unharmed citing their shared Baloch ethnicity and “humanitarian grounds.”
The group also issued a warning to local residents, stating that anyone found supporting Pakistani “occupying forces” would be held responsible for resulting harm to their lives or property. BRG said such operations would continue “until the complete independence of Balochistan.”
