Abdul Haq disappeared and killed

GWADAR, BALOCHISTAN: The body of Abdul Haq Baloch, a resident of Awaran who ran a school in Gwadar, has been identified among five bodies found in the area Thursday, according to family and local sources. The body was reportedly recovered in a mutilated condition.

Family members said that Abdul Haq was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces approximately six to seven months ago.

Sources say Abdul Haq is the brother of Ramzan Baloch, who has reportedly been held in an undisclosed state detention facility for several years. Ramzan’s son, Ali Haider, had reportedly sought his father’s recovery through legal and human rights channels making Abdul Haq the second member of the family lost to enforced disappearance and now death.
