
KHUZDAR, BALOCHISTAN: Unidentified armed men attacked an Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) team in the Karkh area of Khuzdar district late last night, leaving two personnel wounded including a Station House Officer (SHO), according to official sources.
According to government sources, the attackers opened fire on the ATF team, triggering an intense exchange of gunfire between both sides. During the retaliatory action, security forces found evidence at the scene suggesting that one or more attackers had also sustained injuries, including blood trails discovered at the site of the ambush.
However, the armed men managed to flee the area, taking their wounded companions with them.
The two injured personnel, including the SHO, were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Following the attack, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to trace and apprehend the assailants.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
